The ESWW2023 hosted a Topical Discussion Meeting on the IMCP

On November 23, 2023, as part of the 2023 European Space Weather Week(ESWW), a topical discussion meeting was held by the IMCP Office focusing on the European-African-Pacific secondary chain of the International Meridian Circle Program. Frederic Pitout (France), Aziza Bounhir (Morocco), and Babatunde Rabiu (Nigeria) served as co-conveners for this meeting.
This gathering, taking place within the context of the 2023 European Space Weather Week, brought together space experts from Europe and Africa. They shared insights into their respective regional ground-based observations of the space environment and their visions for participating in the IMCP. Prof. Michel Blanc, Chair of the Scientific Committee for the IMCP, presented the latest developments in CMP and the IMCP.
More than 10 space experts from around the world, including Prof. Shunrong Zhang from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, participated in a real-time online meeting, engaging in extensive discussions and exchanges with the on-site attendees.
